The city of Vancouver, British Columbia has cultivated a reputation for supplying some of Canada's finest musicians, and Brett Wade is certainly best of breed. A triple threat musician, Brett has cemented his reputation as a guitarist, vocalist, and bassist, and anchored groups that enjoyed major label contract success. Brett possesses one of the most distinctive voices in Canadian professional music. Soulful and expressive, Brett's vocal delivery can be found gracing hundreds of recordings. Brett's signature guitar playing is revered by guitar aficionados everywhere.

Brett went straight from The University of British Columbia music program to the L.A. recording scene. He was featured on two internationally released albums on the Warner-Reprise label before reaching twenty years of age. Brett toured the United States for several years promoting album sales off the group's gold selling single before returning to Vancouver. In the early 70's he was asked by producer Claire Lawrence to play on Canadian folk artist Valdy's first release on A&M Records, "Play me a Rock and Roll Song" which went on to become "Canadian Record of the Year" and featured Brett's guitar solo work.

Other credits include Canada's great Dale Jacobs jazz fusion album "Cobra" for CBS Records and "Which Wade"(also for CBS) featuring Brett and his brother Joel. For the next fifteen years Brett answered 1st call vocal session work for all the major players in the then thriving west coast jingle business. He then took a job as resident producer, engineer, and arranger at Vancouver's Creation Studios. Brett has also added teaching to his long list of credits-he currently instructs audio production for the "Art Institute of Burnaby".

He has also performed as a vocalist on T.V. productions with such notables as David Foster, country great Louise Mandrel, rock legend Roy Orbison ,Canadian folk artist's Valdy and Rita McNeal, and R&B superstars Ray Charles and Michael Bolton, just to name a few.

His commercial recording resume also includes jingles for: Toyota, McDonald's, General Motors, The Conservative Party of Canada, London Drugs, The Keg, Labatt's, Molson Breweries, Kentucky Fried Chicken, The Liberal Party of Canada, Alberta Milk Producers, as well as thousands of other jingles for a whose who of corporate clients.

Brett's CV is proof positive of a career dedicated to professionalism at the very highest level. Brett continues to be a highly active participant in state of the art projects, and will be enjoying high level exposure in the upcoming mixed media project "The Cocktail Party" with renowned painter James Picard and performance/composition partners Glenda Rae and Miles Black.
